*Neil’s Funeral* - Thursday 1 July - Service starts at 11am at Darrington Garden of Rest, Greenroyd Court, WF8 3BG - Outdoor Graveside Service, standing only. - There is lots of room, however, we politely request that you respect current social distancing guidelines - Family flowers only. I was always a man of few words . But on this occasion I would like to express my sincere condolences to Jenny and family . We lost a giant of a man and a very large piece of Pontefract rugby clubs history . RIP Neil until we meet we meet again. Sleep soundly !!

Too young and too soon for such a larger than life character who influenced so many people, Neil was like a magnet with people always wanting to talk with him, such was his character. You left us before we were ready Neil there will always be a big hole in everyone's life without you, especially Jen and the girls who have all my sympathy at such a devastating event. Goodbye old friend.

A big man and a big character who will be sadly missed by all. When he entered the club house, changing room or pub everyone knew he was there and he invariably had a word with everyone present. He always had plenty to say and I know that he helped and guided many including me at some difficult times. He will be a great loss to PRUFC. My sincere condolences to Jen and all the family. Will keep you all in my prayers.

A very sad day for Neil’s family and his many friends at the Club. A great man to have on the field and an incredible worker for the club over the many years.Neil always had a heartfelt greeting for everybody. A huge gap will be left at the club. Condolences to his family and close friends.

I consider it to be a great pleasure and privilege to have known Neil as a friend and teammate. To have been in Neil’s (always) jovial company and to have witnessed his enormous contribution to PRUFC reflects on someone who looked to get the most out of life. I’m so terribly saddened to hear of Neil’s sudden passing. I’ve known him all my life … as a constant guiding influence at Pontefract Rugby Club, a role model to me, great friend of our family and mate of my Dad’s.
