Nes, I received with rude shock and sadness the news of your death. We met for the first time in Shah Alam, Malaysia in 2015 when I attended WAITRO Management Programme (WMP). You were so accommodating, nice and friendly. You were a wonderful person. You will be greatly missed. Our prayers are with your family and relatives. Our condolences go to them and WAITRO family. My friend and brother, rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Nesrul's family. I was shocked to hear this sad news. Nesrul is like my brother and Dr. Rohani is like my mother. Both have a great contribution to managing WAITRO. I always remember them asking me to continue their work and contribute actively in WAITRO. It was like the last message from them. I promise to do the best within my capability to serve WAITRO.

It was our sincere condolences to the pass away of Mr. Mair Nesrul Zainal Abidin of SIRIM Berhad, Malaysia. He has been an important person of WAITRO we have ever known for years since he was in the team of ex-secretariat. He helped and advised TISTR a lot to gain insight of WAITRO. I on behalf of all TISTR, friend of Nesrul, would like to convey my deeply regret to the loss of this wonderful person to his family. I was deeply saddened by the news of Mair Nesrul Zainal Abidin passing. I had the honor to get to know Mair Nesrul Zainal Abidin in a short period. I testify that he was a humble, great, generous and very cooperative man. He has high morals. May Allah have mercy and forgive on him and grant him the highest paradise, and replace him with a home better than his home, sons and daughters better than his sons and daughter, and a wife better than his wife. Sincere condolences to his family and colleagues.

The news of the untimely passing of Nesrul have come as great shock to me and my wife (who had met him several times during WAITRO meetings in South Africa, Malaysia and elsewhere). We are deeply saddened by his loss. Nes was not just a professional colleague, he was indeed a true friend - he even new my favourite football team in South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs, and once got himself one of their black-and-yellow t-shirts which he loved very much. It was my intent to surprise him with a new one when he would visit South Africa next for the then planned WAITRO Global Innovation Summit - alas it was not to be. I will miss him dearly. Condolences and deepest sympathies to his family and friends in Malaysia and across the world. The world is a poorer place without him, the WAITRO Global Innovation Family is in mourning.
