On behalf of the wider GLF Schools family, please accept our sincerest condolences. Michelle's positive contribution to de Stafford over the last 16 years will be remembered by so many students and colleagues, past and present. My thoughts are with Michelle's family, friends and the de Stafford community at this time.

A New Friend How often, as we get older, can we say I have a new friend? Changing jobs and our busy lives usually give us no time for such luxuries. But, just once in a while it happens and Michelle was one of those friends. Is it that we were the same? no, chalk and cheese in most instances but we appreciated hearing about each other’s lives, families, happy times and sad. Our shared concern in helping our students, in the right way, with the most appropriate help we could give them was always, as with all LSA’s, forefront in our minds. Yes, we could moan and groan but in the end this is much more than just a job for all of us. Michelle’s love for her family was all consuming, there was always a titbit of family life or a photo to share. There was the funny incident of the disappearing tea bags, who knows where they went! My love of maths lesson and her sheer abhorrence of them. I laughed so much when she was looking at her timetable and the look of disgust when she discovered she was in yet another maths lesson. Even in Lockdown we kept in touch, discussing which courses might be useful and which ones she had no intentions, whatsoever, of even looking at. You can guess which ones they would be.......... We had made plans, as so many of us have done, for after Lockdown, a meal out to celebrate a long passed birthday, where to go, who to invite and a planned school holiday get together, a coffee morning, a walk around an RHS garden. A chance just to spend time together and just be us.But that was not to be. We, her friends and colleagues, still intend to go out for that meal but now it will be, instead, to celebrate a friend found and lost, our collective and individual memories will make her alive again, not just for a few hours but for a life time. A friend we will no longer see but have shared precious time with. Thank you for taking the time to read about our friendship. Heather x

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of my friend and colleague Michelle. The students and I will miss her help in the classroom but mostly I will miss her kindness, dry wit and that wonderful laugh. Rest in peace Michelle. xxx

I am deeply saddened by the news of Michelle’s passing, her family are in my thoughts and prayers. A wonderful TA with a great sense of humour, she will always be in De Stafford hearts. May God bless you Michelle and sleep tight xxxxx

I had the pleasure of working with Michelle at destafford for 3 years. She wasn't just my colleague, she was my friend. From the start Michelle was very welcoming and soon put me at ease. We shared so many funny moments and emotional moments. I know she will be sorely missed by everyone including me. Wishing all of her family love and best wishes through this difficult time.
