Mary Puccio

While looking through North Georgia newspaper last week and came upon the obituary of Mary a dear and truly an angel, my heart sank. Took me back to the many times Mary came into our home to check on my husband for many health reasons. She was always so encouraging, smiling and so helpful with her knowledge of health care. She sure had a great spirit about her and know she will be so missed by so many. She has touched and made an impact on so many. God bless her friends and family.

I met Mary and the Kennerly Family about 58 years ago. Mrs. Kennerly was my first grade teacher at McEver. Our families lived in the same neighborhood so growing up we were friends till we graduated high school. I have a lot of fond memories of the things we did as kids. Prayers for the days ahead.

Around 3 years ago, God sent me an angel named Mary! I had just been diagnosed with the rare disease, in which I had to have weekly infusions. I was scared! Mary was a life saver for me , in more ways than one! Not only was she my nurse, she was my friend, my therapist, my confidant, - God sent her to me ,Because, He knew what I needed! I was depressed, as I also deal with other issues. She always knew what to say, what to do, we've shared many cries, and SO many more laughs!!! Just seeing her face brightened my darkest days- She was so much more than a nurse!! I miss her terribly! I know she will be there to welcome me to heaven, when the good Lord calls me home. Altho, I am devastated to have lost her, I'm so blessed that our paths did cross! I will cherish the many happy memories, laughing til we cried! I learned so much from her during the short time I knew her- The main thing I will always carry with me- To just do the best I can for that day! I feel like I know her family and friends, she always talked about y'all. She loved you all so very much. I am praying for all of us- family, friends and us, her Patient family.It was an honor to know her and to love her. Loving her is easy, Losing her is devastating. Rest easy, sweet Mary, til I see ya again ~~ I love you

I met Mary when we both worked at Gwinnett Medical Center in the NICU.... 1990-ish.... when she moved to St Pete with John I visited once and then Tandy and I visited once. Mary and John took us to The Hurricane for hurricanes and grouper sandwiches.... both the Best we ever ate!!!! John and Mary came to visit us and we went to the Melting Pot and drank way more than we needed to..... but both visits were memories that I will always cherish. In recent years we “ talked and shared funny things on Facebook, but we had not gotten together in forever..... I am very sad to think I should have made the effort for us to visit together one more time.... Mary always had a smile and a quick, dry wit that kept everyone laughing..... God gained a Beautiful Spirit in Mary! Peace my beautiful friend!

Mary and I met in high school and had several classes together. I have great memories of our working on school projects together numerous times. Following high school, 4 of us from Johnson went to nursing school together. The first year, Mary was one of my suite mates in Crudup Hall at Brenau. So many wonderful memories of those days! Mary always had such a sweet, caring, loving spirit. Praying for you all!

Mary was my Infusion Nurse for two years. I want to thank MIMI for getting in touch with me and telling me about her last fall. Loved Mary so much, she was my Friend and my Nurse. Mary was so loving and totally cared about everybody her life and would do anything for her patients. Mary called me about her fall in the yard,I was so concerned about her "Vertigo" (thats what she called it) I will keep her always in my prayers! God Bless you Sweet Mary,I will Miss you!

Hello sending my heartfelt condolences for our family as darling Mary was my second cousin. I remember as a wide eyed cutest little baby girl. Her mama Carolyns Blessed surprise. As she thought having three kids was a complete family. Mary was the cutest little tag along. Making brother David feel out numbered I’m sure. I just talked to Mary a while back and she advised me to just do the best you can each day. Was to proud to have known her. Love to all cousin Betty.

Mary was one of my good friends during Nursing School. We studied and worked hard and played every chance we got. She always had a smile on her face and was fun to be with. The last I knew she was in NICU in Florida. I am sorry we did not see each other after graduation but I remembered her fondly. My sympathy to her family. I know she leaves a huge gap in their lives and in the lives of the patients she cared for.
