Mary Ann Leddy

Mary Ann was a beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother who enjoyed life on the farm. On June 1st 2017 she lost her long battle with Cancer at the Leduc General hospital. She was born in Cadomin and raised near Cold Lake by her loving parents Francisek and Mary Janiec. As an adult she moved to Edmonton where she met her husband Bill Leddy and together they raised four children in Leduc, AB. Finally in 1995 Mary Ann fulfilled her dream of owning a farm and together with Bill they have raised Cows, Horses, Pigs, Chickens and Ducks. Mary Ann will be greatly missed.

I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to all of the family. For right now, there's no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry, or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, "...all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection. That is our amazing hope! The Bible likens our hope to an anchor. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us and keeps us from drowning in overwhelming sadness. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now, during this time of sorrow. My condolences go out to the family. I am so sorry too hear of the lost of a dear loved one to this family. Dealing with this situation can be the hardest thing to face. God's word the bible gives heartfelt and true meaning for ones sleeping in death; Revelation 21: 3,4 says: 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” God also promises a hope for ones to have life again at John 5: 28,29a : Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out.
