Nick was honestly one of the most kind and understanding people I have ever met in my life. I worked under him while he was a supervisor at Walmart and would talk for hours about being a warrior. My dream was always to join the life of a warrior and me and Nick would talk about signing up for contracting. I always knew he would be one hell of a warrior and one hell of a leader and I’m happy to know he got what he wanted in his life.

Mack was one of the first people I met here and I was honored to call him a friend and a brother. He was one of the kindest and most amazing people I've met here. He truly was the best of us all. You will not be forgotten brother

Not only this, but your son, father, and husband was one of the first friendly faces I met in selection. I understand that at this time of loss, it's difficult to see out from the void. I just wish for you to know that Mack radiated a sublime kindness that gravitated those around him. He was a natural leader, trusted friend, and I too am dishevelled from his loss. I just hope that you can fill that void with the happiness, kindness and goodness that he was and is at his core. We all felt it, he was such an integral character with wisdom well beyond his years. One of the last conversions I had with him just after he got out from hospital and before he left training to his unit- we were talking big picture, life, family, love and hopes. I'd expressed to him my own thoughts- I felt as though my life had ended when I left Ireland, that everything that came afterwards was a bonus. That my fate was sealed, and my story ends in some random field to turn to fertiliser. He however, he told me his story doesn't end here, that amidst all of the uncertainty of what was to come- that he knew that there was more for him. A certainty that caught me by surprise, and even now, I hear his words echoe in my mind. We can be certain, that he is gone now, that we are all left with a sense of emptiness. But I feel that that speaks to the character of who he was- light, God's eldest daughter, is a principal beauty in a building. Mack spoke that his story doesn't end here, he was the light and now you have the building. A family, a future and your whole lives to redesign, renovate, expand and make it a home. I understand that it's so difficult to see that now. But maybe that's what he had meant to me when he said his story doesn't end here It carries on through you. In the absence of light, that building will be unrecognisable, the hallways will feel lonely, the beds cold, but I ask that you emanate and replicate that light he made. As a final thought, and I hope that it offers you some comfort. I've just had a little trip to the hospital, I have seen so many lives irreparably changed, so, so much loss. But even here- in every nook and cranny- I see love. Children's drawings decorate the walls, wives holding their beloveds hands as children look on with bespoke concern to see their heroes in agony. These people are fighting for their right to exist, and as an Irishman, I can't but empathesis with them. Mack paid the ultimate price, but he will never be forgotten, and now his story carries on through you. My deepest condolences, Go raibh Dia leat i gcónaí, agus go raibh mo dhiamhas mór as do chailliúint. Bugs

Dear beloveds, my name is Dove, when I arrived at selection I didn't know what to expect. But my worries disappeared when I met Mack. He radiated this positive energy and wisdom. I had the pleasure of being placed in to his squad during trianing. We could all see that he was a natural leader, he always knew what to say to help bring out the best in people. I have in my diary written that he helped teach me how to clean my rifle, despite us having only a limited amount of time to get them clean, Mack took time to show me what to do, and made sure even check after and offer advice. He never put people down, only ever rose them up. After our week spent in hospital we spent another week at base waiting for transfer. During this time I got to speak to him about personal life, he spoke highly of his farther and grandfather, of his wife and his child. I hope they grow up to know what an amazing man their farther was. While he may be gone. He lives on in everyone who had the opportunity to meet him. We should all aspire to be that man that Mack was. We in the legion lost our brother that day. The world lost a kind soul. At the going down of the sun and in the morn, we will remember them. To the family and brothers (Monsters) of Mack, I want to express my deepest condolences. Mack was an exceptional person—dedicated, focused, and always disciplined. He had a calm strength about him, and no matter the challenge, he never lost his cool. We talked often about the future, and it was clear he had so much ahead of him. His presence made a positive impact on everyone around him, and I’m grateful to have known him. Mack’s character and steady approach to life left a mark on me that I’ll carry with me always. It was a true honor to know him. Though he’s no longer with us, his spirit will never fade. Rest easy, Mack. Until we meet again. My thoughts are with his family and all his brothers during this hard time.

He was a tough squad leader who took the job seriously. I don't think anyone expected this. You could tell he really loved his family from when he would talk about them. Slava Ukraine, Heroim Slava.

Dear friend and family members, Mack was one of the purest souls I could've ever have the pleasure to live with, we'll all remember him as a happy, strong and team player guy, always taking care of his friends, it was a pleasure to meet such a great guy, a great grisly. Fly high friend, well never forget you.

Words alone cannot express my sorrow and grief. I feel Mack’s loss very personally, and mourn him everyday. From the beginning to the very end, he was a brother, and the hole left behind can never be filled. I can only hope that in the future when we all look back on his memory, that we are filled with the same spirit of life that he showed…live each day as he would. Paladin
