Kimberley-Joy Knight

Kim was a great friend to me, a like mind in a shared infancy of motherhood. I will always think of her with love and incredible admiration. I will never stop thinking of her.

Kimberley was such a wonderful person to be around, and it's truly devastating to know that she's gone. She was a great colleague and a genuinely good soul. My deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I am so very sad to hear this awful news about Kimberley. Kimberley was such a warm and generous person who was always willing to help and give advice. She was fun loving and joyous and my heart goes out to those closest to her.

I am saddened to learn about the loss of Kimberley -- a truly beautiful, gifted person. Although I only met her briefly and occasionally in person, I felt I knew her through her engaging, animating CHE projects and activities. My deepest sympathy and condolences to Kimberley's family and friends.

It was with great shock and sadness that I heard the news about Kimberley. I first met her at a conference where we shared pretty basic accommodation and some early morning jogs. Kimberley was warm, friendly and so so interesting to talk with. My deepest sympathy to all of her friends and family on the passing of such a kind an absolutely lovely soul.

I met Kimberley once in August 2016, when I was giving a talk at the University of Sydney and she kindly invited me to discuss our respective research projects over lunch and coffee. I was impressed by Kimberley's kindness and good humour. I am terribly shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. May her memory be a blessing.

I first met Kimberley at Kalamazoo. We chatted about books, tears, and the Centre for the History of Emotions, and, a year later, I was genuinely delighted to see her join CHE in Sydney as a postdoctoral fellow. I remember her, as many others here, as warm and kind – a person whose company I sought out at the events we attended, and whose scholarship was as fascinating as it was inspiring. I extend my deepest sympathies to her loved ones for this truly unfathomable loss.

I only knew Kimberley online, through our mutual research interests. I sensed a thoughtful and supportive presence through those distant interactions. I'm so sorry to learn of her loss.
