Jos de Goey

My deepest sympathy. Be strong and keep the faith. There is a promise that no one lives or dies in vain. God bless your soul and all things you left to the living ones behind.

Jos was indeed a dynamic leader. I am still in shock at his sudden passing. I saw him first years ago at WorldSkills Competition and he immediately reached out to me to make sure I was okay. This is a great loss for WorldSkills. Sincere condolences to his family and team Netherlands. Be not dismay, the Lord Jesus will take care of you during this period of grief. I am praying for your strength.

A whole skills world in shock! I had the great advantage to meet Jos already in 2005. During my years as TD for Sweden, I was happy to meet Jos several times. A person full of positive energy, a great vision and diplomatic skills. Thanks for all Jos! My warmest condolences to his family.

Shocked and sincerely deeply saddened by this loss. I only had a chance to speak to Jos a couple of times at several Skills-events, and he always seemed a very kind, friendly and truly open and passionate about the ideas and youth person. My condolences to the family, friends and colleagues.

Such a loss to the World. A smart, charming man who in addition to his passion for education taught me much about his enjoyment of wine! We shared a few drinks together that has now proved to be far too few and so I now raise a glass to you in my fond memory of a truly great man.

kanissery venugopalan (India) O!! God. A shocking news to me personally and the Indian Team. we do recall the courtesy deals and smiling encouragements extended to me as TD of India many times. We pray Heaven's to make his soul rest in peace, and give courage to his family to take this shock. WSI would have enjoyed his golden deeds, but for the God's call our tributes to Joe De Goey.

VCOM-Wang Yanfeng: We were truly shocked and sadden of the news of Jos’ sudden leaving from us . We still remembered the time when for the first time, we had dinner together with the WSI and other industry partners as an GIP during the 2018 Amsterdam General Assembly. We happened to be at the same table as Jos and his wife Anouschka. Jos was very considerate of the uneasiness we felt when we first joined in the group. He took the initiative to talk to us about his travel in China with his family. Between words, we also realized the deep feelings between him and his family. His sudden leaving must be a heavy blow to his family. But just because he loved his family so deeply, that the happiness of his family is what he pursued, even if he is not around now. So we hope that Jos's wife, Anouschka, and their children, Charlotte and Torsten, will pull together and get back to life, which must be what he wants. And During the Worldskills conference and casual chatting with Jos, we deeply felt Jos's enthusiasm for the work of WorldSkills . VCOM will do its part to continue his legacy.
