John Omany

I was saddened to hear that John had passed away. I had the pleasure of working with him at HRCH. He was a very kind thoughtful and gentle man and will be missed by all who knew him. I recall at a diversity event him speaking about his career history, with such pride and saw very clearly his drive and commitment to help patients. I send my deepest condolences to his family.

I am so sorry and saddened to hear about John. I worked closely with him in our HRCH Director roles and I was always captivated when he spoke with his calm gentle manner often seeing things from a different perspective. He could be stubborn when he had strong feelings about something and will have saved many lives because of this when he worked tirelessly to vaccinate so many during COVID. He always took the time to listen to anyone who had a personal health concern. He had a cheeky side and glint in his eye too which we will all miss. My thoughts are with his family during this difficult time - take comfort in the fond memories and pride in a great man who helped so many. Xxx

My condolences to Dr John's Family-Such a massive loss to the Trust. A very professional man yet a gentle giant who always had the time to spend with anyone regardless of their role. Our team is not the same without him but we will keep his memory alive with all the goodness and empathy he had towards his colleagues. Rest in peace Dr John

Working with John was an honour and a privilege. His passion and understanding of patient care was inspiring and his clinical knowledge always added greatly to Board discussions. A man of integrity, wisdom and patience he always radiated warmth and demonstrated a very real interest in colleagues. His smile always brightened my day. John will be greatly missed but always remembered.

I was incredibly saddened to hear about John's passing. I remember him to be gentle and kind soul and warm hearted. I remember his amazing performance at the job interview at HRCH, where I first met him, and was so pleased that he got the job which he excelled at. I'm sure he will be missed by so many.
