I want to express my sincere condolences to everyone who knew and loved John. It's not everyday you get to have a one in a million type of a man to help usher a positive and inclusive motorcycle experience for so many riders in the greater DC area. Over the past few days, I've watched a community striken with grief and sadness over such the loss of John because it's painful to lose such a great man in such a sensless way. John mattered and will be sorely missed by not only his immediate and moto families but the greater community he was able to touch through his positive spirit in the DC Moto group. Many thoughts and prayers for everyone who he loved and those he impacted for the better. Forever in the wind. May he continue to have a positive impact on motorcycling and everyone he encountered in life.

I didn't know John well, and had probably only seen him at a couple of meets. But I engaged with him online my fair share of times and he brought expertise to the moto group and did a lot to foster its growth. From the original 10 to now the the thousands of members. The few times I met John he would give me the most importsnt riding advice. The things no one tells you but you need to know to stay safe and smart. John was the definition of a good guy

Rest in Peace John. We only rode together a handful of times but you always came up and spoke to me and made each ride feel like I was part of the group. When I take my personal experience and see all of the great things everyone has been saying I'm confident in my belief that you were a good man and will be missed by many. I will pray that the loved ones that were left behind are able to heal from their loss, celebrate your life and receive some comfort that you've positively reached so many lives.

I only had the pleasure to ride with John a couple times. I wish I had gotten out there more anytime he inquired about riding somewhere. He was a great man, and will be missed dearly. My condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace.
