Jez was an amazing person, a true delight to be around and a great colleague and friend. He has touched many lives in his career and will always remain in our thoughts and prayers. He leaves a wonderful legacy and a salient reminder of the value that one can bring to others - and how easily that can be taken from us. The journey for us all starts with his passing - to tribute his legacy and support his family through this sad time

Jez was a great person and a good friend. We last spoke a few weeks ago and I was very shocked to hear of his too early passing. Strength to the family at this unbelievably sad time. God bless. Wish you well jez

I first met Jez almost 20 years ago when he came to HK. I was impressed by his friendliness and gentleness. He was always a great person to work and to hang out with. I will always remember his sincere smile that made everyone so comfortable and delighted. May God take care of Jez and his family. My heartfelt condolences to the Jez's family.

Jez was one of the first people I met when I came to Hong Kong - he was part of the team I joined at KPMG and from day 1 he made me feel welcome - that was the thing about him, always willing to lend a hand. Over the years there have been many a time that we have put the world to rights together. There are stories and tales too many to mention in the entirety but certainly the time the dancing got so energetic he spun my wife across the dance floor and she ended under a table to the time the boys were out for the weekend and Jez must have ‘eaten’ something which disagreed with him that made him feel unwell are just a couple of the great times I will always treasure. It is such a loss and mine and Nishilla’s thoughts go out to Eva and the family at this difficult time - he will always be remembered.

As a colleague, friend and finally client, I appreciated Jez's candour and dry humour, even when the chips didn't fall in his favour. While most of our interactions were work related, my enduring memories of Jez come from overhearing him patiently on the phone to Maia in our Alexandra House office during the peak of the global financial crisis, and thinking to myself "how sweet to see that, in light of the turmoil going around us"... Rest in peace.

I am deeply saddened and shocked by the loss of our friend Jez. We worked together back in the TFTI times when he came to Hong Kong. More than 20 years have passed and I still remember the day I met this young cheerful lad who came from England. We had a lot of fun working hard and playing hard together. May he rest in peace.

Jez was more than a colleague to me. He was a good friend - always ready to help, have a good time and give an honest feedback and advice and always positive and a good laugh. He would say it the way it is and always supportive. Though it’s been years since we didn’t work together we always kept in touch and always met up now and then. I’d like to remember him for all the fun days we had and the jokes we laughed about and the banter during our projects, lunches and drinks - it was always fun to be around with him. Most of all I will miss a friend who was always genuine and honest to himself and his friends. When we last met and had lunch a few days before he left for Taiwan he was still positive and as always spoke with a lot of love for you - Eva, Maia and Amelia. I pray for strength for you all and hope you find solace and peace knowing he’s in a better place and no more in pain. “Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.”

I was heartbroken to hear about Jez’s passing. He was taken away way too soon. We had truly been in the trenches, working together on a complex program years ago. He was a great colleague and good friend. And when Jez visited San Francisco, we had a wonderful time in Napa. In some ways it seems like yesterday, in some ways, a long time ago. Most of all, I will miss his wicked smile. I will cherish our shared memories. May his soul Rest In Peace! And may God give his family the strength to bear this terrible loss.

I am deeply sad for losing a colleague and friend. Jez and I would talk about our families all the time... His/Your trips to Taiwan and mine to Korea. We shared what our kids thought about us and our work... and how lucky they were to have such "cool" parents ! We always ate and drank and played well with the team all together. Missing Jez. Sending you strength. ~C
