Dr Malomo Dr Malomo was quiet, modest, an archetypal mentor, and an academic with unimpeachable style. With your demise, we are conscious of losing a counsellor, a guru, a father, and a complete gentleman! You will be fondly remembered for your landmark achievements in Yaba, most especially the hope you brought to the moribund Occupational Therapy profession, by orchestrating the establishment of the first school of occupational therapy in Nigeria at a time the need could not be overstressed. This singular act of heroism has now surely placed Nigeria, our healthcare and rehabilitation service delivery system in a better position among other nations of the world. For this, we are infinitely grateful. We, the entire membership of the Occupational Therapists Association of Nigeria (OTAN) know you are now in a better place, even as your great works continue to speak. Therefore, our prayer is that the family you have left behind will benefit immensely from your kindness. Live on Icon!

Idowu Malomo, Your death came as a shock to me. When I saw you a few months ago in your Clinic there was nothing like that in your face. You were a gentle, kind always wanting and ready to help. Thank you for helping me when you were in Neuropsychiatric hospital Yaba. You invited me to do eye screening for your drivers which I did,we were able to find some some preventable blinding diseases that were treated. That was kind of you. The second school that was founded by you I was one of the teachers where I taught about the eye also for some years with practicals.The last time I saw you you were planning to invite me to do eye screening in the middle age people in your church. I couldnt get back to say no because I know I wouldn't be able because of the distance. Thank you for this. God will reward you for your good works here on earth. Rest in the bosom of the Lord. It is not only your family that miss you I also miss you especually your counselling Adieu till we meet in heaven.

Dear Brother Idowu, this is a tribute of thanksgiving to you. You cared by loving everyone lucky to come your way. Your demise is a great loss to the Malomo family. The young and old keep expressing their heartfelt grief. You gave your best to your immediate and extended family members, your profession and to Nigeria. You had unflinching faith in Nigeria as a great country. You believed that Nigeria has everything to fulfil anybody's dream. I've heard people express how much you imparted their lives by giving advisory statements that turned their lives around for good. You were a builder of bridges, a supporter of family values and traditions. You made sacrifices without counting the cost. You still looked healthy the last time I saw you this year. Oh, a precious and caring soul has indeed gone forever. May God grant your wife and children, extended family, colleagues and friends the strength to bear your demise. Adieu Brother Idowu.

Uncle it has taken sometime for me to be able to write something since that means you are truly gone . I do not know how to express the pain I have knowing I will never see you again when I visit Nigeria . Last year I was home I saw you and I remember so clearly your words . You were humble, you were gentle , you surely left the world too soon. Sleep well my uncle , sleep well . May your soul rest in perfect peace
