Heather was always so warm, generous and kind. I remember meeting her as a child and later as a member of the OUBC. She was so reassuring and supportive in the run up to the Boat Race. Heather’s cooking skills were truly unbelievable! Her food was delicious and she always made the most amazing meal seem effortless. She will be greatly missed by all the Oxford rowers who had the privilege to know her.

Heather was our greatest supporter in our schoolboy rowing team, and the most remarkable host for our university team. She was kind, thoughtful, generous and hugely patient. It was such a privilege growing up with wonderful adults like Heather in our lives. I hope I can live up to her example with my kids and their team mates. Huge love to all the family.

As close neighbours for well over 25 years, we kept in touch whenever she was at home in Plealey.
