Frank Iyase

Frank was an ambitious, caring person who always wanted the best for people around him. Originally from Benin City in Nigeria, he came to the Netherlands as a teenager and became a Dutch citizen. He studied and worked as a secondary school teacher in the UK until his death. He loved to constantly gain new knowledge and to teach young people. Frank sadly died from Covid-19. 4 December 1977 - 15 January 2021

I knew Mr Iyase since late 2019, he was my computer science teacher up to until the year he died, for two years my classmates including me loved him, he was humorous, passionate and would always approach anyone and would ask how their day was going, he would turn lessons into something entertaining and enjoyable for everyone. Hearing the news that he had passed on was unbearable, the sadness I felt went on for days upon end, in my heart, Mr Iyase will always have a place. - Rest in piece

Frank, or as I knew him, Mr. Iyase, was a teacher of mine for a very long time. He was always a very memorable chap, and was well-loved and well thought of by the students and faculty. It is a great sadness that he has passed away all too soon - I hope he rests in peace.

Thinking of Frank.. I am currently on a holiday on the Isle Of Wight and found a message in a bottle commemorating the death of Mr Iyase, although we couldn’t fully read the message we understand that he was a School Teacher who we can see was loved by many, we are all thinking of Mr Iyase and hope like the message in the bottle says, “Let there be no more victims”.
