Fats Van Den Raad

Fats was my half brother. I know him as De Wet and only met him once in Johannesburg. Condolences to all of you who knew him as I wish I could have :-(

Karin and family, please accept our sincere condolences Fats will be forever missed. I worked with Fats many years ago where we built a great friendship working at the arena with Showsec. We dropped out of touch after I moved away from Nottingham but have some fond memories of BBQs at his house where we looked after Monty and Dottie while he was away. Thinking of you all x

Dear Karin and family, its clear from the messages below just how loved Fats was by all at Worknest. We won't see the likes of him again - he really was one in a million. We all send our love and best wishes to you, the girls and his beloved grand kids at this difficult time. He has left a big hole in his WorkNest family, I cannot even imagine the gap he has let in yours. We are all so glad he got to see his extended family in SA recently. I hope the funeral gives him the send off he deserves and I'll imagine him at the Braai, with a Beer and a story or 10 to tell. Thinking of you, Zoe

Karin, I've only been part of the Worknest family for a short while, but I wanted to show my love and support, as Willem did during his time here, he cared about each person & made sure they felt supported. I'm incredibly sorry, this is such a painful loss to you Karin, your family & everyone that knew him.

Karin and family, I am so sorry for your loss. Fats was such a gentle giant and an amazing friend to all. I recently lost my Dad and Fats always knew how to cheer me up and reminded me that he is always with me. He will always be with you and your lovely family forever more. Such a huge shock when i heard this awful news, can't imagine Worknest without you, such a big character that stood out, my Iron Maiden buddy with the Eddie screensaver that always made me smile as some of the team never knew who he was just a scary screensaver, we will keep your memory alive Fats at Worknest, I will always hear your voice on our monthly meetings. Will always laugh at your last message to me about how's the cat instead of car! Condolences to your family and friends.

I was lost for words when I read our internal comms and, anyone who knows me will know that is very rare, What can I say that has not already been said, a real blokes bloke who will be surly missed by many, my lasting memory of Fats, is his disappearing in his great big clouds of vape smoke during our teams meetings. My condolences go out to his loved ones and family.
