Doris Howard was an amazing woman, strong, funny, and loved everyone she met. She enjoyed playing bingo and card games, reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

My "Nana" was always a source of kindness, inspiration, unconditional love, humor, strength, and connection to my beautiful mother, Patricia Howard. I am so very grateful I was able to spend a bit of time with her in June. I know she is now in heaven with five of her seven fabulous children, along with many others who have gone before. Rest in peace, Nana. I'll love you always.

I knew gram for 42 years. We had our share of 'off' times...she WAS my mother in law after all. After she wasn't anymore, we still talked and she wrote me letters and when people asked who I was if we were out, she said I was her daughter. so many memories,from her short skirts with knee high boots to tanning exactly 15 minutes on all 4 sides. she did her best,she had a wicked sarcastic streak and I am so thankful that she wanted me to stay in her life. I felt so blessed to have had the last 3 months of time with her. she sure was a fighter and as the girls at the nursing home said...she was such a peanut. Rest easy Mrs. Howard...you have earned it
