This is a book of condolence and memories for retired ACFO Dominic Brown. Dominic was an outstanding officer, a very popular member of staff and a close friend to many in the Service. His dedication, commitment, and humour will be greatly missed by all who worked with, and met him. Dom had been bravely fighting a long illness and tragically, he passed away yesterday (Thursday 24th June) with his family around him. Our thoughts and prayers are with wife Becky, his son and two daughters, and the rest of his family and many friends. RIP Dom, we will miss you.

Dear Becky and family - I wanted to say how sorry I am for your sad loss. I didn't really get to know Dom very well before he retired but I will always remember how welcome he made me feel after I started in HQ and made time to provide me with support. It has been lovely to hear how highly he is thought of and how fondly he is remembered and although comfort can be hard to find just now I hope yours and everyone's memories can give you some moments of light at such a dark time. Dominic was my first boss when I came to work at the Fire Service, I remember thinking how refreshing he was, always ready with a quip etc. as I got to know him better I found him to be one of the funniest people i've ever met. Always smiling, even in dire personal circumstances...He will be really missed and always remembered for the cheeky smile and 'quick as a flash' wit he always displayed. To Becky and the family, I am so sorry for your loss.
