Carol Davies

I feel very grateful to have known and worked with Carol for the last three and a half years. She was a very kind, warm, supportive person with a wicked sense of humour; and so very knowledgeable in her line of work.. She will be greatly missed by so many and my heart goes out to her family and close friends at this very sad time.

Carol was such a friendly and lovely lady. Whenever we bumped into each other at the City Care Centre or on the train to Cambridge, she always took time to catch up. She was so kind, thoughtful and caring. I was so very sad to hear of her passing and I wish to pass on my deepest condolences to her family.

I have so many memories of our times together,working with you, then working for you but my fondest memories are of us becoming friends and sharing special times together with our families and loved ones. All that's left to say is I will miss you loads, I'm honoured to have known you and most of all thank you for being you.

So sad. Carol was warm and welcoming to me when I joined regional meetings. She was well respected and knowledgeable in her specialism. She will be sorely missed. Condolences to her family.

Although I only knew Carol for a relatively short time I found she was a very approachable, lovely; intelligent and knowledgeable lady. She was someone you could go to for advice, or just a chat and a laugh over a 'cuppa' in the staff room or when we shared lunch in the CCC café. She will be dearly missed as a voice in our team professionally and personally. My thoughts are with her family at this very sad time.

I have very fond memories of knowing Carol for so many years, from back in the 1990's at the Nurse Education Office. Her dedication and compassion to the health profession has been an inspiration to many. A fabulous lady, who always had time for a chat. I shall miss her support, kindness and natters in the kitchen. I hope these messages give comfort to her family.

Carol was a wonderful voice of reason in many a safeguarding discussion we would have. Her value of keeping the person at the centre always was evident. I will miss her honesty and integrity and her sense of humour..

I had the pleasure of working with Carol for over 20 years. She was always considerate of others and was a calming voice on more than one occasion!. Never one to shy away from challenge, Carol "stood up" for vulnerable children and adults even if at times this was a differing view to those around her. On a personal level - Carol has helped me through a few bumpy patches and was always a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. You will be sorely missed .......
