Bridget was born in Iowa to John and Esther Bailey. She leaves behind two daughters and two grandchildren. She lived the final years of her life in Florida. Her memorial service will held on Thursday July 18, 2019 at CCV Avondale Campus.

We all have missed her for so long. I was really grateful to see the picture of Nathan. That is a story that has always haunted me. I visit his grave every time I go back. Bridget had a lot of misfortunes. I know that she is finally in peace.

I will leave the majority of my condolences at the memorial service, but I know that sometimes people don’t like to “go first” so I’ll do that. We all know that I’m not shy when reciting a poem or dancing around or shaving my head. Most of the people always asked me, “What did your Mom say when she saw you’d shaved the back of your hair off?” My reply was always the same,” she was sitting in the chair next to me when they did it!” We had our differences, as Mothers and Daughters do, but I always felt more like her little buddy than her daughter. She is gone too soon and it was too sudden, but I’m glad the last words I spoke to my mom came on one of our phone conversations- I said, “ I love you Mom and I’ll talk to you soon”. I just didn’t think our next conversation would be in my prayers. She may have had flaws, but that’s not what defined her. She was and is now a Child of God.
