Bob Oliver

Just seen this, he was one of the most inspirational people ever. He helped me so much at university. Most kind and supportive people to have existed. i still cant believe. He always said to be if you ever need a reference email me. This is how i found out, May his soul rest in peace, forever in all our memories

I only heard the news last weekend - Bob was the best lecturer we had at DMU. His personality, knowledge and experience were unmatched, and we still remember and talk about his lectures 6 years on. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, my sincerest condolences to his family.

So very sad to hear that Bob has died. What a truly lovely man. Kind, insightful, intelligent and witty - he couldn't have been more welcoming to me when I worked at DMU. Bob, it was a pleasure. A real pleasure to know you and work with you. My thoughts are with his friends and family.

The sad news of Bob`s departure left many including myself feeling sorrowful and distraught .He was such an amazing and inspirational person. A true icon who has left a remarkable legacy. I am thankful our paths crossed as colleagues and will cherish the fond memories. May his soul rest peacefully.

Bob, you are a true "Hero". Thank you for being part of impacting my life as a nursing student, to reach out to people who are in need. The lectures, stories and advice you gave have made a huge difference in my life. You will always be remembered by what you have done. My sincerest condolences to Bob's family and friends.

I would just like to say 'Thank you Bob', for all the knowledge and silly conversations we shared over the last few years. Thank you for your encouragement as an experienced nurse and lecturer you showed to me, whilst taking me under your wing. I had the pleasure of sharing an office with Bob, he was knowledgeable and passionate about nursing, with an unsurpassed level of experience, and a calm and considered approach that we could all learn from. I feel privileged to have had the opportunity to count him as a colleague, Rest in peace Bob.
