Beatrice Otoade Bolodeoku

xx xx, xxxx - xx xx, xxxx

Princess Beatrice Otoade Bolodeoku nee Adetosoye popularly referred to as Mama Bolo is a true definition of who a mother is.. Like her name "Otoade" meaning "the truth of the crown", Mama Bolo always stood for the truth! As one of the pioneer female Chartered Accountant in Nigeria and the first female Chartered Accountant North East England, she was a trailblazer who attained a peak in a career being the first female director of Nestle Plc Africa during her time. Her love and support for her many children (biological and non-biological) was admired by all. Mama Bolo's devotion to the Almilghty God was seen in her servitude to man-kind through her numerous philanthropic deeds and her commitment in her home church. Although she will be greatly missed, we are grateful to God for her glorious transition and take solace in God's word: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:13-14‬ ‭NIV

Elder Daniel Bolodeoku (Husband)

*40TH DAY OF PASSING-ON TO GLORY.* *Today, Sunday 12th July 2020, marks the 40th day that our wife, mother & grandmother-- mummy Otoade had gone back to her Heavenly Home to be with her Creator, Glory be to God.* *Though those of us whom she left behind in this evil world sorely miss her presence with us, but we should realise that she had gone to a better Home, where there are no worries of any kind, where there are no evil deeds, where tears and sorrows do not exist and where eternal peace and joy are ever so abundantly available and death is permanently conquered.* *The heavenly home is a place for those who have righteously lived here on Earth, and by their deeds are qualified to be translated into the eternal Heavenly Home.* *Our wife, mother and grandmother, had righteously lived in this world, as testified by many people she related with spiritually, physically, secularly and* *socially, for the voice of people, is the voice of God. God had used her for His Glory. She had come, she had seen &* *experienced good & bad in this uncertain world. She had challenges & successes, and she conquered. She lived as saint militant, but she has now been translated into a Saint Triumphant.* *Glory be to God* *Therefore, as children of God, we should not continue to mourn and be sorrowful that our mother had departed from us. Instead, we should rejoice and celebrate her good life and her entry into a better home than the one on earth. We are to continue to remember her good works of kindness and generosity in this world. The best thing she would wish is that all her good works on earth should be continued from where she left them. She had left the legacy of righteousness, and we that survive her should continue in the way of righteousness. God being our helper.* *I cease this opportunity to thank you all my children and your spouses for the kind support you've given me, and you are still providing since the sudden departure of my wife, my life partner & the only TRUTH of my life.* *I thank you for a super BEFITTING send-forth ceremony from this evil world, and the indelible good impression of Unity within the family.* *GOD in His infinite mercy shall abundantly reward everyone of you with unquantifiable blessings in Jesus name.* *As I leave all of us in the Hand of the Lord, let each one of us say this prayer below

Tribute to Sisi Bolo Sisi Bolo as I fondly greeted her whenever I came by her side in Church. This before I greet her properly as my mother with a courtesy. Mama was such a loving woman ever interested in your affairs and always ready with very wise counsel. She was Sisi Bolo because she was trendier than some of us young ones with her shoes and bags to match. She was also such a generous soul always bringing chocolates to church for my children (as well as so many others). She was a fantastic conversationalist always lacing her gist with rib cracking humor. I will miss Mama as so many will and I just pray for her repose in the bosom of our Lord who she served faithfully till the end. May God comfort Baba Bolo and the entire family and give you the fortitude to bear this loss while ruminating on the worthy legacy that make her footprints in the sands of time Arc. Biola Fayemi

Mama Bolo's death came as a very rude shock. She was a Mother in Isreal. A beautiful person inside out. In times of need, she was a shoulder to lean on. This was very evident in the way she embraced and cushioned my dear cousin, her son in law. She was always very warm and receptive towards us, her in laws. She always had a lovely smile on her beautiful face. Such an ageless beauty. Till the end, she always looked beautiful and well dressed!!! Her daughter, my dear friend and lovely wife has inherited her good nature. A continuation of Mama Bolo's goodness. Mama lived a very fulfilled life. In all we give God the glory for a life well spent. Rest in peace Mama rere

SISI BOLO: THE ANGELS HAVE ASCENDED WITH ONE OF THEIR OWN  (being a tribute by Gbenga Arojo, Anglican Church of the Ascension, Opebi, Ikeja, Lgos) IN MEMORY OF LATE MRS. BEATRICE OTOADE BOLODEOKU   Humans are given to perceive our earthly existence between birth and death. What precedes life on earth and what succeeds it have remained eternal mysteries. Biology gives us an insight only into the physicalility of pre-birth but hardly anything about the spiritual antecedence of life. The mystery of death still remains beyond the kernel of true human understanding except as explained by our faiths in the existence of a hereafter where we can hope to re-engage with the departed after we also must have passed through translation to the other side of the terrestrial ball. In the interval, all we are left with is grief, perplexing grief for an acute loss, assuaged only by memories of times and seasons we were privileged to share. For many of us, the demise of our sister and mother BEATRICE OTOADE BOLODEOKU was most unanticipated. The shock is taking its time leaving us. We actually were looking forward to celebrating her 80th birthday in about another year but alas the heavenly realms needed another angel for higher service and our Sisi Bolo has answered the call. Yes, Sisi Bolo was my pet name for her as a counterpoise to her life-long heartthrob and companion that everybody calls Baba Bolo. She was Sisi Bolo to me and Mama Bolo to others. At the Anglican Church of the Acension, Opebi, Ikeja, Mrs. Bolodeoku was a prized member in whom we found exemplary leadership in service at different times: President of Ladies Christian Circle, Member of Parish Church Council, Coordinator of Welfare Committee, etc. We now grief that a life so accomplished, a personality so endearing, a spirit so accommodating and a hand so giving can cease so suddenly. A key in our melody is translated. We now have to struggle to regain the Ascension Family melody. Yes, we know. It is the way of life. It is the fate of every person born of a woman. May the beautiful soul of our sister and mother Beatrice Otoade Bolodeoku find eternal repose in the bosom of the Lord.

She lived a life of beauty and dignity. So loving and gracious. God knows best. Heaven's gain is our loss!
