Anthony Janes

Anthony Janes, the man who had two lives. Anthony born in Bury St Edmunds in England to Frederick and Helene; trained as a Colour Chemist and worked in the dye houses of Bradford before marrying Barbara with whom he had two children: Benjamin and Amy. Anthony re-trained as a teacher before moving with his family to Gloucestershire. Anthony worked at Marling School, Stroud for many years driving the creation of the Computing Department in addition to teaching Chemistry. He left in the early 2000s to help Barbara run a local primary school. Barbara sadly died in 2004, and Anthony looking to the fill the void travelled the world meeting new people and visiting new places before, by chance, Anthony met Catherine. Catherine was visiting England as part of an exchange between theatre groups from Lèves, France and Nailsworth, England. Following his heart Anthony moved to France in 2006 where he would become a sound, lighting and special effects guru or magician for the local theatre groups. Anthony's second life was spent in St. Prest where he became a beloved member of the community. His children and grand children visited him often in the summers, enjoying both fantastic cooking and the pool in his garden.
