Our colleague Andy Nally recently passed, and we wanted to create a space for those who wish to leave their condolences and share memories of Andy. Andy worked at SLC for 11 years. Andy was one of a kind, very friendly and well known to colleagues throughout SLC. Andy was well known for not only going above and beyond his daily duties but for being there for everyone. Andy always took an interest in his colleague’s lives; he would put a smile on anyone’s face and always happy to help. Andy wasn’t just a colleague but a true friend to his team and colleagues throughout SLC. Andy impacted all our lives more than he will ever know and will be forever missed.

Andy was one of the kindest, most caring souls I had ever met. You always got him the same way, chirpy and cheery - we need more people like Andy in this world, he is sorely missed.

I only met Andy a few times in work but when I did he always made me laugh, he checked in with me when I got my new role and made sure I knew he was there if I needed anything. Andy was a genuine kind soul and always made sure others were cheery and alright. My thoughts are with his family and friends and also with his team. I'm sure Andy's legacy will live on in SLC and he'll always be remembered fondly.

Andy was such a lovely, kind and happy man who was always so friendly and welcoming during the time I had a short stint doing Wednesdays/Thursdays in the office. I loved talking about The Cure with Andy when I seen him and I will always remember his dedication to posting the "Friday, I'm in love" GIF before the weekend came around. My condolences to all his family and my thoughts are with all of you.

One of my most favourite memories of Andy was a conversation we had regarding our love of a particular band - The Cure. Andy was a life long fan. We spoke about the upcoming show in Glasgow and the hopes we had for what the setlist would be, the surprises it would reveal and the fan favourites that held so many memories. Devasted to hear the news of your passing Andy, you were one of a kind, your smiling face and happy chat touched everyone that knew you. You and I were always the early birds into the office on a Wed/Thurs had many interesting and funny conversations during this time, really going to miss these . Rest in peace Andy xx

Andy, what can I say? I was so shocked to hear of your passing You deserved so many more of your fun trips down south and, after trying out abroad last year, you deserved more of those trips too. We needed to see more of your friendly, cheery face and lovely nature You were so approachable in work and you always made everyone feel nothing was too much trouble From a personal point of view, I loved that you were my walking to the train buddy every night before lockdown and how you entertained me and made me laugh with your tales SLC RR will miss you so much as will I.

Worked with and knew Andy for just short of 20 years never anything but courteous and affable for that whole time. The admin team in whichever afterlife he turns up in will be running a bit more smoothly when he turns up. RIP Mate
