Andisiwe Qwabe - ISSA (2000 - 2001) - a friend to many of us passed on after a brief illness this September. Many of us have fond memories of our times with Andi in ISSA - from her vibrant laugh, her beautiful smile and her caring and thoughtful nature. This is our way of sending our memories of our beautiful friend both to her (in spirit) but also to her son, fiance and family.

Dude, I have literally struggled to find words. I still don't know what to say because it's still hard to believe that you aren't with us anymore. We haven't kept in touch for a while but I've never forgotten you. The last time we had a heart to heart was in London a couple of years ago. And you left me amazed..your strength dude! At ISSA we weren't close because you were the cool senior, and then bam we found ourselves in St Mary's hall together and we had some crazy days together. Will never forget the weekend you convinced me to go to east London with you for the weekend and we only had R150 between the two of us..it was wild!

I knew Andisiwe for a very short time teaching her Physical Education in her last year at ISSA, also my first year. She was such a quality young lady and I immediately knew, with her bright mind and sparkling personality, she would achieve great things. As the school Archivist I connected with her over the years on Facebook and followed her journey through life with much interest. On behalf of those of us still at the International School of SA, I'd like to offer our condolences for her desperately sad loss and send love and comfort to her family and friends.
