Dr Subinay Nandy, breathed his last on 07 November 2020, in a New York city hospital, leaving behind his wife Chhanda and 18 year old son Rayan. Subinay Nandy, started his career with UNDP Bangladesh as the Head of Environment and then went on to become an International Professional serving as Deputy Country Director in Vietnam, Country Director in China, UN Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka and Director (Asia-Pacific) at the UN Department of Political Affairs. It was a joy to work with him in different capacities. I will never forget the warmth his smile and useful advice in resolving issues. This untimely death is very difficult to bear. He was not just a mere colleague for me but also a very dear friend. He will be immensely missed. My deepest condolences for the loss of Subinay. Words will never be enough to express my condolence for his family. I pray to the almighty that his soul rests in peace.
