I was so sorry to hear of Sir Eldryd’s death although I met him only briefly. In 1990 he arranged for me, and my husband Chris Ankcorn, to meet and then be employed by UST Kumasi. He met us at the station, with his bike of course, and escorted us to the meeting. Although neither of us continued to work in tropical medicine our time at KATH, as a paediatrician and an anaesthetist, and the people we met there have had a lasting influence on our lives. May good memories fill everyone’s thoughts, especially his family and those who knew him well.
