During our New Jersey days when I was between 9 and 15 I always remember Mom in our family room folding laundry and ironing while Price is Right or Young & the Restless soap opera was on. Especially in the summers when we would come running from the pool, all wet looking for a beach towel to dry off.
Moving on the Texas years starting in 1977, I'll never forget all of us teenagers and the chaos of mornings before school. We still laugh about all of us special ordering our breakfast, while the ironing board (set up in kitchen) so she could iron the shirts we picked out for the day. Can you imagine the tornado swirling every morning and how peaceful it must have been when we all left?
