Shafkat mama was a dear, loving, friendly and my only uncle who lived here in the United States! You left us too soon. He was available to the family for all advice not just that of an amazing doctor! His interests across various subjects specially politics made long weekend conversations with him in which he would invariably add a tinge of humor with his jokes. When I last saw him in his hospital bed he was looking forward to so much but fate had other plans I guess. You are now more in our memories and I remember the excitement my mom had of he coming to India from the US every couple of years regularly to spend time with his extended family. He loved my moms Biryani as his favorite! I’m sure the brother and sister will be having it up there soon!
