I worked with Ion during the time he was in our Vancouver Office. He was a great colleague and over the years we became great friends. I learned a lot from him about the Marine Industry. He would quite often share stories of his life and travels with me, which I always found so interesting. I would always tell him he should write a book. It would have been a best seller. He will be greatly missed. RIP Ion x

A hearty laugh and always willing to help. He helped me navigate Port State Control in Pacific and could be counted on for advice. He will be missed.

The first time I met him was my 1st day at Transport Canada. Immediately he made me feel at home and extended all help to start my new life at TC. He had a huge heart and there on we almost met every work day at the coffee adda in the Hyatt/RBC building. I worked along with him on couple of projects and got to know a lot about him during that time. I'll cherish all those moments forever and wish him for his onwards journey....Adios Amigo!
