I first met Ramona in 2006 when I moved into Windsor House. I remember our first proper conversation well, as it was when we were standing on a Jubilee line train going home after work one day. Since that one chat, we became great friends. As well as being a great person to me and my family, my number one memory will always be the infectious laugh she had. That laugh (and smile) brightened up my day, and even more so when we were having a joke (which was a daily feature!) Every morning when I arrived into work, I would always pass by Ramona (as she was an early bird) and we would have a catch-up on the goings on before I started my actual work. This became the norm, and it was always good hearing the latest goss. Ramona was a thoughtful person, and I’m lucky to still have the cardigan she hand-knitted for my girls and the mug entitled “smart ass” when I started my secondment. Ramona would always give an upfront honest opinion on anything you ask, and it was always valued, including her views on my alcohol consumption! Even though I no longer work for TfL, Ramona and I still kept in touch. It was great hearing all the latest goss on people and the company there. Ramona was one of the fittest people I know, and she enjoyed her fast-paced walks to Westminster library to loan the latest books. When I told my mum about Ramona, she instantly recalled the journey she shared on the bus that I was driving for charity, as well has her hobby of Wimbledon, and the beautiful knitted clothing I’ve already mentioned. Ramona was supportive of the people she cared about. I am still in shock about Ramona’s passing and I will miss her very, very much. But I will always feel lucky that she was a part of my life x

I remember Ramona from the day I joined TfL in 2013. A real bubbly character and so loud! Her and Karen P were like the terrible twosome, but Ramona never got away with any secrecy thanks to her loud voice and infectious laugh! She will be terribly missed by a lot of people. Such a caring lady.
