Oludaisi Abidakun

19 maart 1941 - 15 november 2021

A caring husband, loving father, grand father, peace seeker, tireless worker, sponsor of dreams, confidante to many and above all, a person whose mantra and typical greeting was Alafia - Peace. He will forever remain in our love. The memories we cherish and shared will stand as a guiding light in our broken but thankful hearts. The sky is brighter because Heaven celebrates the gain of a worthy soldier and ambassador. Rest on Daddy as you champion our aspirations and relationships...

My condolences to the family of “Uncle Abidakun” as we the Ogunleye family at Ogunleye Street, Aguda, Surulere fondly called him. Uncle was a very religious man, he was our first facilitator/President of Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Aguda and Iwas Secretary. Uncle was soft spoken and kind, very much loved. I’ll always be thankful that he accompanied my Mother to Minnesota to break the news of my husband’s death twenty years ago. I’ll always remember his kindness and generosity of heart. Though we miss him, the Angels rejoice at the return of God’s own Child. Fond memories of John Oludaisi Abidakun will forever remain in our hearts. Indeed, Oluwa “da won si” RIP Uncle.
