I'm still trying to come to terms with the fact that we can't see you physically any more. I recall my childhood days when I was always going about with you for old girls school meetings, Pearl's club meetings, numerous early morning trips to various markets ....... mile 12 market, Dosunmu, oke arin, etc. and fondly called "oko mummy", hand bag, etc. I still recall always taking you to & picking you from the airport every year for the last 8 years plus. Almost daily, I still imagine seeing you seating on your favourite chair in my place with your big cup for water & plastic bottle beside you & your hand bag on the chair. Of course neither can i forget your numerous daily forwarded WhatsApp messages that kept me wondering " kilode". You were the last of the titans of the famous Smith family of Olowogbowo area of Lagos island. Our last few encounters also remain memorable. Unconsciously, its like I'm still dreaming you would send me the usual message in Dec about the arrival date & time of your flight back to Nigeria for me to pick you at the airport. I guess this should be more of a Celebration of Life rather than mourning. We strongly believe in the salvation prayers administered to you in your last few days. Rest on in the bosom of the Lord, till we meet again
