Mrs Melanie Ravenscroft dedicated her life to helping others. She was Head Teacher at St Aidans CE Primary School in Billinge until Christmas 2020 when she took early retirement. Melanie had previously worked at Eccleston Mere Primary School and Evelyn Primary School. She also spent time at Newton Primary School and at Sherdley Primary School . Melanie also worked as an English consultant for St Helens LA. She touched the lives of so many little people and their families .

Mrs Ravenscroft was so personally involved with the pupil's lives. She genuinely cared for each and every one of them. I remember her being so pleased that Noah got a place in St.Aidans and when she rang me when the council cut the funding for his one to one. She was worried that I would be upset. I know that my boys have always been and will continue to be cared for at school. We were so lucky to have Mrs Ravenscroft and are so thankful for all that she did ❤
