Mrs Melanie Ravenscroft dedicated her life to helping others. She was Head Teacher at St Aidans CE Primary School in Billinge until Christmas 2020 when she took early retirement. Melanie had previously worked at Eccleston Mere Primary School and Evelyn Primary School. She also spent time at Newton Primary School and at Sherdley Primary School . Melanie also worked as an English consultant for St Helens LA. She touched the lives of so many little people and their families .

Melanie was a wonderfully caring and inspirational Headteacher whose priority was always the children in her care. She gave so much in service to the school communities she worked with and losing her in this way is such a tragedy. May God be with her family at this extraordinarily sad time and may they take some comfort in knowing how well loved Melanie was by so many people, young and old. A genuinely lovely person, may she rest in peace, God bless you Melanie.
