Mrs Melanie Ravenscroft dedicated her life to helping others. She was Head Teacher at St Aidans CE Primary School in Billinge until Christmas 2020 when she took early retirement. Melanie had previously worked at Eccleston Mere Primary School and Evelyn Primary School. She also spent time at Newton Primary School and at Sherdley Primary School . Melanie also worked as an English consultant for St Helens LA. She touched the lives of so many little people and their families .

In fact she took my job at Eccleston Mere when I left! She was an AMAZING person. Her love and care for every child in her care was phenomenal. Every child was special to her. St Aidan’s was so fortunate to have her. Rest in peace dear Melanie - let your light shine as brightly in heaven as it did here on earth.
