Martin was a colleague and friend to many people within Local Government where he had worked for 44 years. Martin was known for his character and his passion for highways. Martin will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

He was always very polite to me and I had great difficulty in convincing him that it was ok to use Christian names. He will be greatly missed.
