Kamalini Thakurdas was born on 30th March, 1944 in Chattarpur, MP. Eldest daughter of Victor and Kusum Kumari Mangalwadi, she did her post graduation in Psychology and, subsequently, in Hindi. She married Mr Ajit Thakurdas in 1967 and settled in Allahabad where she taught at Boys' High School. A talented poetess and prose writer, she published three books, raised three lovely girls and gave back generously to society.
