I met Jos back in 2008 when he visited Cyprus in order to persuade us to join the ESPO Skills movement, making his point that the movement needed the active presence of the small equally as well as the big countries of Europe. We were moved by his vision and passion and decided to join. In the next twelve years Jos was not just the president and leader of the organization but was, above all, a true and sincere friend and his smile and warm heart could move mountains for us. All of us at skills Cyprus were shocked and deeply saddened by his passing. We know that things at his beloved Worldskills Europe are not going to be the same anymore, but the memory of Jos will keep guiding us forward for the benefit of the skillfull younsters of Europe.
Rest in peace dear friend! We deeply miss you...
