Jos de Goey

11 mei 1963 - 21 februari 2020

Jos de Goey was CEO of WorldSkills Netherlands, President and Chair of WorldSkills International. Jos’ passing means the loss of a charismatic, passionate and highly committed CEO. Our thoughts are with his wife Anouschka and their children Charlotte and Torsten.

Jos was the quintessential 'Flying Dutchman". (But not the scary one!) Roaming across borders and oceans to work alongside fellow WS shipmates, Jos motivated and encouraged everyone he came in contact with. He relaunched Skills Netherlands, and built EuroSkills from the ground up. His stated objective, as incoming WS President, was to help bolster other ships in the WS fleet, and chart a more sustainable course for WorldSkills into the future. He did his work with a smile, and without raising his voice or issuing orders. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to his family, friends and the WS community. RIP Jos.
