Girls, I remember very well your parents going out with each other at university. Your Mum and I stayed in accommodation at Jordanstown School for the Blind. We knew each other from Crumlin Primary and Glenavy Fellowship. There was many a late night staying up to the wee hours (bouyed up with tea and biscuits) whilst putting the world to right. Never mind theological debates with your Dad and some other friends. As a Presbyterian I tried so hard to defend infant baptism but that wasn’t cutting it (and in my heart I agreed). Later in the summer of ‘’85 we holidayed in Mallorca with Helen and Margaret. No such thing as air con at the hotel. If I recall some nights we slept in the balcony as the room was too warm....but we had a fun time together.
Having read so many beautiful dedications to her I can do nothing but agree. She was a very special, caring woman who always had time for others. What an example of Christian witness for us all. You are all very much in my thoughts and prayers.
