It has taken me a long time to come to terms with this. Like everyone else who knew Eyitayo, this feels like a dream. You never realize the bond you shared with someone till they pass, then you miss it and wish you had more time. You always think you had more time… Thank you for introducing me to Enya… when you’d leave your laptop at home and I’d go through your music library. We bonded a lot over music when you got back from work. You never made me feel like I was disturbing you. You loved finding new music and artists. Wish we exchanged playlists more. I had so much more to learn from you. Wish I took the time. Thank you for appearing to me in the dream, it made me feel like even though we hadn’t talked in a while, you weren’t mad at me and you still took the time to come back and say goodbye. I doubt a day will go by and I won’t remember you. Thank you so much for everything. Now, I have to try to live like you; dedicated, always making people laugh and quietly fighting for your dreams.
