With a gentle mien, quiet, intelligent, and cerebral, He was consistent in his belief and dedication to the future and possibilities of Lagos and Nigeria. He loved politics and desired the day we have a Nigeria that punches above its weight among the community of Nations. Daddy would be solely missed.

Dr. Olusegun Freeman has been very kind to us since our father, (Mr Oyeyinka Akinyemi) passed away in January 1998 at the age of 60. It is with deepest sadness and sorrow that we are writing this tribute to you. Often times we wish death was not a part of life, we wish we would just stay alive on earth with our dear ones not passing. We also pray that the soul of our late uncle will rest in perfect peace.
