I had the honour and pleasure to serve as Brian's assistant in 2009. I got to know a man whose heart was much bigger than his stature (and he wasn't small). I admired him for his cunning intellect and great sense of humour. He was a role model of how managers should treat their staff with fairness and respect and a true custodian of the English language.
