I've known Barry since joining the PNGS RP team in 2009. While I always found him to be a great colleague at work, it would be the more personal interactions that left an impression. From our first interactions his love of family and golf came through. I only learned to golf since joining this team and he provided some early mentorship. Another memorable day was a few years ago when i noted the huge amount of effort (and probably money) he was expending assembling a gift for his brother. I have a brother as well that I'm very close to but I remarked that it seemed "a lot". Of course that was the day that I learned about the special bond that he shared with his brother, which also evolved into a discussion of life in general. Clearly a man who loved life, loved his family. We will miss him.
