I always think of Uncle Stan with a big smile on his face and indeed, he was very kind and generous because when I was 12, my sister Jackie 9 and my brother Tim 4 we all went to stay with him, Auntie Mary, Helen and Jo while our parents swannied off to Italy on holiday! We had a lovely time often going out for the day to the beach and other places. I realise now that Uncle Stan must have sacrificed some precious holiday to look after us. I enjoyed it so much that I went back to stay a few months later in the Christmas holidays.
Helen, Jo and Mark, I hope that the funeral goes well and that you don't miss him too much.
