I first met Jane when she joined us as a Learning Delivery Officer in Central Group and I planned the training she would deliver. Nothing was too much trouble, she volunteered for all sorts of delivery and embraced all of the travel that went with it. Not only was Jane a joy to work with she was a joy to know. I always looked forward to catching up when she came into Nottingham, there was far too much laughter for an open plan office and I always had to check out her fabulous shoes. Professional, supportive, caring, funny, it was a privilege to have worked with you Jane and I'm lucky to have known you as a friend. The world shines less bright without you xx

I met Jane when she moved roles from working in the contact centre to become a Learning Delivery Officer. She immediately bought an energy to the role and made many friends, very quickly, in the team. If there was any new learning or it involved travelling away, Jane would always volunteer. No matter what her previous knowledge of the subject matter, she sounded like an expert in class, often getting thank you gifts from delegates. The last time I saw Jane deliver was in 2014. She was delivering some brand new learning, that was very high profile. The learning designer was sitting in the event and the head of the department was visiting. Jane was not phased - she had her best shoes and lippy on, and delivered the learning in a fantastic way, leaving the class wanting more. Jane like me moved to Wales. She was a dream LDO to plan her learning delivery for and it was wonderful to work with her again. Jane was a great colleague to work with that made work life so much better for her being there.

We only met in June but by July I'd made a loving ,brilliant and supportive friend. Never in a million years would I think that the time we spent together sitting on the shore watching all the boats come and go whilst off duty from the project we were working on together would be our final memories. But your smile and kind words got me through so much I will cherish those memories and think of you often. I'll miss you Jane. You were one of the good ones. Jx

To my lovely friend Jane, We met through a bewildering work encounter, all of thrown together for one cause. Through this I had the pleasure of getting to know the real ‘Jane’, resulting in a wonderful friendship blossoming. You were supportive, imaginative and resourceful woman, always coming up with amazing ideas and giving 110% to every task, that really hit the mark. I don’t know what we would have done without you. Talking with you each day for over a year I soon realised you had a wicked sense of humour, making us laugh all the time with your quirky one liners! Living in lockdown, we always said we would meet up as soon as possible and then one day this became a reality. Meeting in Manchester, after you had the longest journey to join us, you were still a little live wire, up for a mini party with a glass or two and a good boogie. Oh what a night we all had! So the next day, after a days work and lunch, we eventually had to part ways. We wandered to the station, and I decided as your train wasn’t for a while I would stay and keep you company, why would I want to leave early when I was enjoying being with friend. How sad I am now, knowing that was the first and last time we would meet. You were an amazing lady who was taken far too soon. Wherever you are Jane, I know you will be making people laugh and supporting those around you. Love you Jane RIP xx

My dearest Friend Jane, It breaks my heart to write this, knowing you has been an utter privilege and I will treasure our memories together. I didn’t know on that faithful call to arms for Kickstart that I was soon to meet a very special person, Saturday morning absolutely bewildered at the task at hand you didn’t hesitate to get stuck in. You are the hardest working person I have ever met, always wanting to get it right first time. Your fierce determination was not just for your work but always for your friends and standing up for what is right, never putting yourself first but always ensuring people around you were happy. I will never forget those all day calls manically putting together powerpoints and your stories of the RAF and wild escapades kept me laughing, always calling yourself a ‘Silly Woman’ but you were far from that. You’re a brave, kind fantastic woman! Finally meeting you after a whole year of working together was surreal, I have never laughed so much. All 4 of us getting so drunk at the meal that we couldn’t remember what we had ordered, dancing the night away in the gar bars and ending up at a drag show (on a Tuesday night too!) will always be one of the best nights of my life. Keeping in touch with our little family has got me through so much this year, hearing about your trip to Florida really brought me joy. You could feel how happy you were, and it was no shock when you decided your next chapter was going to be in Florida! We were all so excited and planned to go and see you once you were settled in! But sadly, life can be so cruel, and it will forever upset me that you didn’t get to go and taste that new life. You touched so many lives and I don’t think you even realised it, my sweet friend I will miss you so much. Thank you for being you. Love always Lauren

I only had the opportunity to meet Jane face to face once in a Learning Delivery Officer event in Bridgend. First impressions are so important - what a charming and caring lady. Our virtual interactions were filled with Jane's honesty, integrity and the desire to do an excellent job ( in which she always succeeded). She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege to meet / interact with her. RIP Jane. X

I only had the pleasure of delivering with Jane a few times during the early days of the pandemic, but my abiding memory will be not only her expertise and breadth of knowledge on her subjects - but her incredible sense of humour. We often laughed our way through tricky circumstances and her warmth, laughter and positive outlook will be what I most fondly remember. Thank you for the laughter Jane - it will be much missed.

One of Jane's favourite phrases was "... if that makes sense". She would always make a helpful or insightful suggestion, and end with those words. And of course it always *did* make sense. Jane was that kind of person - always offering great suggestions, but never wanting to make it seem as if she was being pushy, or too "clever". She was a great colleague, and was greater than she realised. I for one will miss her very much.

You were such a lovely person, we used to have such a laugh and a drink after work when you came to Boston. You will be missed. My thoughts go to your family. Sadly missed but never forgotten.
