ANDRENE COATES
Elder Gilbert Brown was known to me and my siblings all our lives. We lived in the same community, attended the same church and he was always a father to all of us. He was a great cook, dynamic singer and a no nonsense preacher of the Apostolic doctrine. Elder B, as we usually call him, would always have an encouraging word especially when we needed it most. We miss him but will always cherish the memories he has left with us. Condolences to Sis. Brown, his children, grandchildren, church family and relatives. Elder B. ....you have fought a good fight, you kept the faith and finished your course well. We miss you but we are confident that you are now resting in peace.

A wonderful Minister, Dad, Friend, confidant. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. A part of us went with you, the day God took you home. If tears could build a stairway, and heartaches make a lane, we'd walk our way to heaven, and bring you back again. I looked at you. You were so peaceful. Death is so final, it pierces the soul. But You left me memories so indelible and clear The brightness of your smile The warmth of your hugs Stories and lessons that you shared You never truly know the impact of a loved one till they're gone You, just by living, taught me the value of family and friends How to enjoy life simply How to choose love and peace How to share, forgive, let go and move on How to shield my loved ones from the harshness of the world How to extend grace, even when undeserved. You are special, timeless You are the only one of your kind. I miss your laughter and your love I miss your facial expression as you felt different emotions I miss the stories, the openness and honesty of our conversations I miss the way you looked out for me (I made choices because of your interest in me ) So As we must part company, I will never forget you I still see your influence in my daily life I still call your name I carry you in my spirit I hold your memories dear Although it's hard to loose you, the memories of those special moments are mine to keep. I have been touched in a way that many can only dream of. I count you as one of my greatest blessings. Finding comfort is difficult but I will try. You hated continuous mourning so I will keep in mind the joys you and I shared. Should a tear escape it's because I miss you so much but I will do as you taught me and hide these sweet memories in my heart. Happy birthday daddy I love you
