Paul you were an absolute gentleman. Always there with a smile and a hug! You definitely made this world a better place. You were ever so kind to everyone you met. We have such fond memories and you are truly missed.

Paul was a true gentleman. He was always there to cheer me up after going through many surgeries. His jokes and his wit were second to none. If ever there was a problem you could be sure Paul would sort it. He was larger than life and you could hear him before you seen him. It was only when I was in hospital that we realised he had been a family friend for many years and I know everyone will miss him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and young son and his wider family circle.

Smoking Marlboros in a cool trench coat on the back of the bus. Playing American football with a Veda loaf in Bobs garage. Serving behind the counter in the coffee break even though he was a customer. Paul’s 18th, one of the first nights they let me in to Kelly’s. Paul and Adam doing the kid and play dance on the upstairs dance floor. Skating days out at Portglenone, flying jackets, grolsch tops, Rockefeller’s jukebox, KFC in Portrush and on and on, I have countless memories of time spent in the company of Paul Murray and they all bring a smile to my face, he had the sharpest wit, he was a hairy pilot, an absolute gent, he was awful good craic and he was one of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet. When he told me his chosen profession it made total sense and I knew he would be so good at it because if there’s one thing Paul always did was make sure everyone else was alright. Paul’s passing will leave a huge whole in a lot of lives and he has gone far too soon I am just glad I had the pleasure of knowing him and the honour to call him a friend.

I didn't know Paul terribly well but did meet him over the years on a few occasions. Paul saved me from being scared very badly at 15 years old. I got scalded at a party and at the time Paul was training to become a paramedic ( not too sure). He went to a chest freezer and got out a bag of frozen peas and told me to hold them against the burn and get to a&e straight away. I will be forever grateful to Paul for the kindness he showed me that evening. Rest in peace x

Paul nursed me throughout all my surgeries, I’ve wanted to be a nurse all my life and I’ll never forget how he nursed me through my stoma surgery and made me laugh at my hardest moments. We were only talking about it 2 weeks ago when I met him in portrush. It was because of Paul I got to do my a level exams in the causeway to help me go on to become a nurse... he made life easier when it was at its very hardest and I’ll never forget him

I will never forget opening my door on my wedding day to find Paul all dressed up beside a beribboned car, ready to drive me to the church. He was almost as nervous as I was. I have many memories of this lovely man who has always been so good to me. He has made my friend so very, very happy, and has been such a wonderful Daddy to Elliot. As I said to him when he handed me the best, and last, Cosmopolitan I will ever drink, "I love you Paul Murray".

Heartfelt condolences to Leanne, Elliott, Peter and all of Paul’s family. So many fond memories of all the times spent in Paul’s company from childhood to the annual meet ups at the NW200. Paul was the centre of our large circle of friends, larger than life who’d have you laughing non stop in ten hours of torrential rain, easily. He’ll be sorely missed and never replaced.

I have known Leanne since I was 6, so have known Paul since they started dating. After many years of meeting every now and again, Paul looked after my husband David when he was in hospital last month. With me being unable to visit, Paul’s care and contact that week was so thoughtful and important to us. My last conversation with Paul was on David’s worst day while was in there, and I was desperate to know how he was. Suddenly my phone rang...it was Paul, in his best MC voice shouting “Coming to you live the surgical 2 dance floor, this is MC Paul Murray saying that David is sleeping and all is A okay!!” Made my day!!! You are a true legend mate, we will be there for your loved ones the way you were for us xxx

The first memory I have of Paul was meeting this happy, funny guy way back in the day at Kelly’s. Then more recently as a great husband to Leanne and a wonderful father to Elliott. Not forgetting his master chef talents, dishing out all those lovely veggie risottos for me and turning up in full professional Santa Claus gear for Ava’s birthday parties. Gone far too soon x

What a legend. Paul you will be sadly missed by everyone who had the good fortune of meeting you. I have never known a kinder and more caring person. Rest easy lad. Until we meet again.
