Yimi Huang

I'm deeply saddened by the loss of such a great and upstanding member of the community I know it's been 6 years since you left us but I feel I should leave my condolences here anyways you have my condolences.

My condolences go out to the family. I am so sorry too hear of the lost of a dear loved one to this family. Dealing with this situation can be the hardest thing to face. God's word the bible gives heartfelt and true meaning for ones sleeping in death; Revelation 21: 3,4 says: 3  With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4  And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” God also promises a hope for ones to have life again at John 5: 28,29a : Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29  and come out. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the family and friends of Yimi Huang. I find comfort in knowing very soon God will end all suffering. She was such a young beautiful person and I understand the pain associated with death. There is true comfort in the Bible. Isaiah 41:10 & 13 & Revelation 21:3 & 4. I didn't know Yimi at all. To be honest, I came across her obituary when I was visiting my friend who left us back in February. So young, more so than my close friend who had passed... I know too well what her family and friends are going thru. For a life so young that just started experiencing the world, to suddenly leave before she can truly soar. But what I've read about her left behind by others... she made a much bigger mark than most at her age. To her family and friends - you're all in my thoughts. Don't mourn. Celebrate. Make her memory make you stronger. If it's anything like what my friend's final words to me were, she'd want you to be strong and carry on. Salute.

I didn't know her personally, but from what I've seen and heard about her around social media and in person, Yimi Huang seemed to have really touched the lives of many people in a positive way. Thus, I feel compelled to share some words here. Impacting the life of one person, let alone hundreds of people, is not only an achievement in itself, but it is also a gift. A gift to all of us, no matter who we are or where we come from. From what I can tell, Yimi's positive attitude and kindness certainly made the world a better place. I can confidently say that Yimi's contribution to the Air Cadet Program and the athletic community will not be easily forgotten.

The Burnaby Barracudas Aquatics Club mourns the loss of young Yimi. We extend our deepest sympathies to Yimi's family and her Mantas teammates during this difficult time. Please find solace and comfort in the knowledge that her lovely spirit swims on.
