My Spiritual Mother, all the way in Ibadan, while doing A/Ls together where you led me to the Lord and I have not turned back since. Sister Yewande. I had a dream about you yesterday which made me start looking for a way to see if I could find you on line etc. I am still wondering if it's you, but I cannot deny the resemblance in the picture and especially the character traits, Woman of God, influencer, motherly. I believe the Lord just wanted me to know which is why he allowed me to have the dream that led me here. In the dream, you were surrounded by people who loved and honoured you, I was so glad to see you in the dream as we have not seen since after school. Later, a celebration was thrown for you with lots of well wishes surrounding you and you danced in with a big smile on your face acknowledging everyone, dressed in all white with pearl necklace and earrings. We celebrate your life and I thank God for knowing you and the everlasting impact you have made on my life. You will reap your everlasting reward from our Father on that day when we shall meet again. To the whole family, please kindly accept my condolences. May God continue to strengthen you at this time, together with the Church Family and Friends. We thank God for a live well lived. God Bless. Bisi.

My Dearest Aunty, It is deeply painful that you had to leave us so soon. My heart aches with the weight of this loss, yet it overflows with gratitude for the beautiful memories you left behind. You were so kind and thoughtful. One memory I hold especially close is from my wedding day. As I was getting dressed and glammed, feeling all the emotions that come with such a big moment, it was you who walked in and prayed over me. There are so many sweet memories, and though we are heartbroken, we do not grieve like those without hope. We know you loved and served God to the very end. That gives us peace, even in this storm. May God grant your family and loved ones, and all of us the strength to carry this heavy loss. We will miss you more than words can ever say. Rest well, Aunty Yewande.

Tribute to Pastor (Mrs.) Bayeiwu In early 2012, I had just moved from Ewekoro to Abeokuta. My dear mother kept encouraging me to find a good church where I could worship and grow spiritually. One Sunday morning, somewhat reluctantly, I got up with the intention of attending Winners Chapel. Unfortunately, I arrived after their service had ended. As I turned back, I remembered passing by a house that seemed like a church. I decided to step in, quietly sat at the very last seat, and fully intended to slip away unnoticed at the end of the service — which I successfully did. The following Sunday, once again on my way to Winners Chapel, I passed that same house. This time, I was drawn in by the beautiful worship songs coming from within. Something about the atmosphere touched my heart, and I turned back. I entered and sat down quietly, still determined to make my escape unnoticed after the service. But before I could leave, Pastor (Mrs.) Bayeiwu gently approached me with a warm smile and said, “Hello brother.” That simple act of kindness broke down my walls. That was how I became a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and how I came to know a woman whose impact on my life — and the lives of so many others — cannot be measured. Pastor (Mrs.) Bayeiwu was not just a pastor in title; she was a true mother in deed. She carried everyone in her heart with the kind of love and compassion that is rare to find. She was selfless, approachable, full of grace, and deeply committed to the spiritual and personal well-being of everyone around her. She knew how to lift others up with her words, with her prayers, and with her unwavering encouragement. No one crossed her path without feeling seen, valued, and loved. In 2017, when I shared with her our plans to relocate abroad, she prayed for us with all her heart. I still remember her words at our send-forth: “Canada will be your Rehoboth — a place where you will flourish and find rest.” Those words have stayed with us, guiding and comforting us through the years. Even after we left Nigeria, Mommy Bayeiwu’s love and concern did not fade. She continued to reach out with motherly care — calling to check on us, praying for us, asking about our health, our children, and our well-being. Even from her hospital bed, she was still thinking of others. I recall how she called me to help check on her driver’s son and his family here in Canada — a true reflection of her selflessness and heart of service. Pastor (Mrs.) Bayeiwu lived a life worthy of emulation. She was a woman of great faith, humility, and wisdom. Her kindness knew no bounds. Her strength, even in the face of her own trials, inspired us all. She was a beacon of light, a mother to many, and a friend to all. Her legacy of love, compassion, and steadfast faith will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. Mommy, words will never fully capture how much you meant to us or how deeply you will be missed. We thank God for the privilege of knowing you, being loved by you, and being blessed by your prayers. You have fought the good fight, you have finished your course, and indeed, you kept the faith. We love you dearly. We will miss you more than words can express. Till we meet again at the feet of Jesus, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and no more parting. Rest well, Pastor (Mrs.) Bayeiwu. O dá bo.

A Glowing Tribute to the Quintessential Sister Yewande!!! There are moments when words fail us completely. This is one of those moments. The news of your passing arrived like a piercing sorrow, a cruel wind that stole our breath and left a hollow silence in its wake. It feels impossible to accept that you, so vibrant, steadfast, and full of purpose, are no longer here with us. You were a rare gem - a woman whose gentle spirit and unwavering dedication inspired everyone around you. Whether in your service to God, your commitment to the church, your impactful leadership as ECU Sisters’ Coordinator, or your contributions as an esteemed ECU alumna, you carried yourself with humility and excellence that left an indelible mark on all our hearts. Your presence was a quiet yet mighty force. You embodied kindness, meekness, and grace. You touched countless lives during your sojourn at OAU, encouraging, guiding, and nurturing the brethren. You built bridges where there were divides, brought peace where there was tension, and offered hope where there was despair. Your life radiated warmth and light, reminding all of us that goodness and compassion are not mere ideals, but living realities. You wore your many achievements lightly, never seeking recognition, content instead to let your work speak for itself. In you, we saw integrity personified, a rare blend of wisdom and gentleness that inspired those around you. Your absence has carved a deep void, not only in professional circles but in the intimate spaces of friendship, fellowship, and family. To know you and to walk beside you was to learn that true honor wears a gentle face. You were indeed a rare gem. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in the hope of eternity. You gave of yourself without reserve to God and have fought the good fight, finished your race, and kept the faith. Now, you rest from your labors, and your works follow you. Sleep on, beloved Sister Yewande, in the bosom of our Lord. Until we meet again at His feet, Good night!
